an old farmer's mule fell into and got stuck in a well. try as he might, the farmer couldn't get it out. after many frustrated attempts, he decided the mule wasn't worth saving, so he set about burying it alive in the well. everytime a shovel-full of dirt landed on the mule, the mule would shake it off and step up on it. eventually the mule, on a mountain of dirt, simply stepped out of the well. |

so, after having my car fixed like eleventy hundred times since i bought it under 2 yrs ago, i decided today to attempt to join the sad grownup world. i went to a car dealership and furrowed my brow and said nonsensical things that were obviously acceptable to anyone who wants yr money bad enough. despite having no credit whatsoever, to the point that the money-man seemed a little freaked out by my lack of existence in the greater financial picture, they financed me a car and i drove away.

leftover chinese food is so fucking depressing. that's not some sort of coded, in-joke statement, it's just a fact.
completely unrelated to takeout, i feel like a not-sufficiently-fleshed-out secondary character in an Anais Nin book i'll never read. except my character would have a name that is a clever play-on words, using (the verb) "retch" and "lecherous".
i have agreed to play a solo show at the end of august and i almost never do that bc i hate when anyone else does that. i try to be magnanimous but i'm pretty sure it comes off more like megalomania. that's a blanket statement, not just about solo shows specifically.
